Cheers Gets "Racked" In The Pit of Misery 13-3. Peach Pit proves their upset of Bada Bing was no fluke with a solid 13-3 skinning of first place Cheers. Paul "Mayday" Martino was missing for Cheers so Mark Armelino is on the mound. The Koonjy brothers, Mike and Brian were batting 1 and 2 today and both walked to start the game. Chris Walsifer singled in Mike and Brian scored when Brian Kelly walked with the bases loaded. Tony Garrett scored Chris on a fielder's choice. Peach Pit is up 3-0. Cheers plates one run in the bottom when Mark Armelino singled and scored off a single by Rich Cobuzio. The Pit leads 3-1. Pit picks up a run in the 2nd when Mike Amoia singled and scored on a single by Jason Dickert to make the score 4-1. Neither team scored till the 5th when the Pit turns up the power. With two outs and Ken Crimmins on 2nd Mike Koonjy singled in a run. Then Brian Koonjy doubles in Mike and Jason Crimmins racks up a homerun. Pit leads 8-1. In the 6th Ralph Avallone racks up another homer for pit to stretch the lead to 9. Cheers puts up 2 in the bottom of the 6th when Rich Cobuzio leads off with a double in the courts, and Nick Agnoli follows with a double of his own, then scores on a single by Eamon Lougham. Pit leads 9-3. But Pit turns up the heat in the 7th when Jason Dickert singles, Mike Koonjy singles, Brian Koonjy singles scoring Jason and ouch! Jason Crimmins racks up a 3 run homer to give Pit a 13-3 lead and that's how it ended. Batting 1st and 2nd Mike and Brian Koonjy were both 2-3 with a walk and 3 runs scored and Jason Crimmins had two homers and 5 RBI's.
