10-10 Doesn't Win. It starts with Hart as Brett Hartman took on a new roll in the new Regal Beagle lineup: leadoff. Brett shows his heart too, leading off with a double to deep left and waking up those sleeping dogs. Pat McNamara followed with a walk and with two out it look like Brett would be stranded. But Greg George singled scoring Brett and the hits kept coming. Lou Coppa singled scoring Pat while Josh Simon doubled to right scoring two more. Dave Richmond singled and manager Cliff Berliner singled scoring another. Cheers, needing some wins since they haven't clinched a playoff spot yet, found themselves trailing 5-0. In the bottom Mark Armelino also leads off with a double but two strikeout strand him on second. Neither team scores in the 2nd and Regal expands their lead in the top of the 3rd when Ralph Fariello singled and bam, Mike Metz homers. With one out Lou Coppa singles, Josh Simon(2-3) doubles again scoring another and the Beagles are up 8-0 and the new lineup is working great. But Cheers gets rolling in the bottom of the 3rd when Dave Plishka triples and scores on a single by Bob Plishka, Paul Martino singles and with two outs Nick Agnoli singles in Bob. Eamon Lougham comes up big with a two run single cuttin the Beagle lead to 8-5 and Cheers is back in it. Neither team scores in the 4th and Regal gets back to work in the 5th after Greg George singles, Lou Coppa(3-3) singles and with two outs Greg scores on an error, Regal isup 9-5. In the bottom Bob Plishka leads off with a single and advances when Rob Thomas singled. Then Nick Agnoli scores Bob with an infield single. Rob Thomas scores later on a fielder's choice and Reagle is holding on to an 9-7 lead. Reagle gets some luck in the 6th when Ron Liebowitz reaches by error and scores on a double by Abe Heller. It's getting dark and Cheers has one last shot to come back and they get a big break with one out when Mark Armelino reaches on error. Dave Plishka singles, Bob Plishka singles and Paul (mayday) Martino singles to score two. Down by one Rob Thomas works a walk moving the tying run to second. Then Nick Agnoli hits a deep fly to right that is caught and somehow the runner is able to score from second to tie the game (I don't think Paul was running). The next batter flys out and the game ends in a tie 10-10. Lou Coppa might have found his spot in the lineup going 3-3 while Josh Simon chipped in with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs. For Cheers Bob Plisha was 3-4 and Nick Agnoli was 2-3 with 3 RBI's including the big two base sac in the final inning.
