Company History
In the early 80's our founder Don Trifari, an engineer and baseball, basketball, football and soccer coach, started writing statistics programs that ran on Commodore computers to track statistics for his teams. In 88 the programs were converted to run on IBM compatible PC's running DOS. In 92 the company TurboStats was formed and our first commercial product for DOS was released. In 1994 TurboStats began shipping the first Windows based statistic tracking programs on the market that tracked stats on a game by game basis. At that time there were just a few DOS programs available and one Windows program that just tracked player totals much like a simple spreadsheet program. Although coaches loved our products we knew that they needed even more tools. So we spent years traveling around the country, speaking to thousands of coaches to find out what they needed. After years of development and product revisions our products have matured into the indispensable coaching tools they are today. Because of our success, other companies have been trying to copy our user interface and original features. They even jump their version numbers to try to make it look like they have been around as long as us. Remember that screen images are easy to copy. It's the software that works behind them that takes all the work. Our products are so reliable that we never had a user tell us they lost game data from their hard drive using any of our products. In the software business, that's pretty incredible. That's why we have such a loyal following of users and have the most recommended statistics products on the market today.
